Modular prison contract secured with Phoenix Building Systems

S&D Flooring is delighted to have secured a major new contract with Phoenix Building Systems to deliver the flooring solutions for four new modular prison buildings - including locations in the south of England.

Based in Hull, Phoenix are a family-run business with over two decades of experience in the modular and portable building industry.

The project is part of a wider programme to expand custodial capacity, with multiple buildings being delivered at each prison site. Each unit will be manufactured in Hull before being transported across the UK.

We are supporting Phoenix during both stages of the programme, working during the offsite manufacturing phase as well as the onsite installation.

Reflecting on a contract that further strengthens our presence in the modular sector, Managing Director Steve Dixon said: “This is a significant contract win and we’re delighted to be working with Phoenix again, building on the success of previous national projects we’ve delivered together.

“Being involved in both the offsite and onsite stage allows us to apply our expertise at every step, ensuring we deliver the highest standards of workmanship. We’re looking forward to strengthening our working relationship with Phoenix and delivering a project that demonstrates our quality, reliability and experience.”
