New critical care facility facelift at Doncaster Royal Infirmary

S&D Flooring is delighted to have been appointed as the main flooring contractor for a flagship new Department of Critical Care (DCC) at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

The state-of-the-art facility will provide 22 critical care beds, dedicated family spaces and essential clinical support areas, helping to deliver faster and more effective treatment for patients with complex care needs.

Following completion of the building’s steel structure, we’ll begin work on site in June, carrying out extensive preparation works including the installation of a damp proof membrane (DPM) and screeding before safety flooring is installed across multiple floors of the new facility.

The project represents another exciting opportunity for us to support the NHS by building our experience across healthcare projects and delivering high-quality flooring solutions that meet the high standards required within critical care and clinical settings.

Managing Director Steve Dixon said: “NHS schemes always mean a lot to us because they make a genuine difference to the hard-working staff and wider community, so we’re proud to play our part.

“Once complete, it will be a fantastic addition to their facilities and our team are excited to get started.”
